About This Listing

This nifty little piece of 12-bit 80s tech is the Latin percussion version of the Yamaha RX21. Instead of conventional rock / pop kit pieces, it has a selection of Latin and South American percussion sounds – cuicas, agogos, congas, timbales, tambourine, claves and even a cowbell (more cowbell!!!) :-D The sound is typically thick and slightly gritty on the low-end sounds, and has a nice sheen of air on the higher ones – absolutely great for getting a more vintage vibe to your tracks.

Whether you want to recreate a period-correct MIDI setup, or sample this thing into your DAW and manipulate the sounds there (which can be great fun), this little box is working perfectly and sounds very inspiring. It's also in very good condition for its age – please take a look at the photos; there's minimal wear and everything is in excellent shape.

If you have any questions, please get in touch – I'd be happy to help.
