Up for sale here is: Yamaha TQ5. It's in good shape for its age, new battery, fully functional. It's listed as "fair" because the LCD screen is blank on the lower part but is still largely readable. I am considering reasonable offers. I will include a power adaptor. Please see photos. Some notes:
- There may be small scuffs, dings and/or scratches all around. No major damage. I do not have a data card to test the card slot, but it appears clean and undamaged.
- The lower rung of the LCD screen has died out, so there's some glitchiness to the display. The brightness of the LCD is OK, although it's not as bright as the photo makes it seem. This type of LCD was used in several popular synths like the Roland XP-50, so there should be suitable replacements around if it becomes unreadable.
- I've put new rubber feet on the bottom, where the ancient ones used to be.
- FYI I've read the calendar functionality can be unreliable because it is pre-2000, now in 2022.
- FYI you can load patches for TX81z, DX11 and so forth (like "Lately Bass"). It has 100 user slots but these typically load the first 32 or so due to their file size.
