Yamaha KX5 Keytar Midi Controller

A nice vintage piece of keytar by Yamaha in nice working condition. When I got this one the battery holder and battery cover was missing, I obtained these to make it complete again. The battery holder is somewhat tight, so a pull-out system has been improvised to make it easier to get out. The battery cover has been 3D printed by the person who sells these, with the instructions you carefully have to push it off with your thumb, this seems indeed the only way. Its a bit of a fiddle in that area, after finishing taking pics for this listing I managed to break this newly printed battery cover, I glued the piece back on and it seems sturdy enough (see final pics), but my advice is to take it easy in that area. Another thing I added is one strap button. The story there is that one of the screw holes seemed a bit worn out so its placed at the corner screw instead. The strap buttons are relatively small, you could consider to find bigger ones that fit, most standard strap buttons for guitars are too big, so make sure you look for the right size. You will also see there is a bit of tape at one corner, my best guess is that that is some sort of repair tape to fix a crack in that area so I left it there as it is. For the rest I did not discover any cracks or damages at all, and it all together looks very decent with some casual sign of use here and there but nothing intense. And of course it works as it should, which has been checked as well. All things considered a nice refurbished KX5, just be careful with the battery situation.
