The Yamaha MSS1, introduced in 1987, synchronizes any clock driven MIDI device to SMPTE time code on a multitrack or video tape. It is compatible with all four SMPTE formats (30, 30 drop frame, 25 or 24 frames/sec). A precision SMPTE time code generator is built-in, so you can record SMPTE time code tracks. A 10 bank memory lets you store tempo data and a chain mode automatically plays banks in sequence, allowing for the creation of extremely long compositions. There are also utility and control functions to make operation easy and versatile. Please refer to the attached brochure which describes all of the functions in detail. This unit is in great condition and was used only in a smoke-free home studio. We can also supply a PDF manual.
