Don't be fooled by it's PSR-like look (it looks more serious when you have in front of you), this is no toy, but a 80's Yamaha 4 operator synth, which offers quite interesting features:
It can load and store 100 user patches or import any patches from the /27/11/100/TX81Z.
It has MIDI I/O of course and full sysex implementation
It has 200 permanent presets which you can partially edit (not access all the parameters), but the editing is pretty streamlined and simple for FM synthesis
8 voices of polyphony, and completely multitimbral so you can play 8 different patches, and you can pan them left/right because STEREO output
Keyboard split ability to play 2 patches at once
You can layer patches on top of each other and detune them for phatter sounds, à la DX7 supermax
It has a built-in arpeggiator
It does have built-in backing rhythms. Not PCM sounds, but sounds generated by FM synthesis algorithms
built-in delay effect
It is velocity sensitive, contrary to some other FM synths like the DX9.
It's in clean condition, apart the obvious flaw you can observe. Some keys are chipped on their lower part. That doesn't affect playability of course.Comes with original paper manual (French/English/German)
Shjipping quotes include full insurance
