Nice Micro Seiki DD-6 turntable that has been lightly refurbished and adjusted available for sale. Cosmetically, the turntable was cleaned and Howard's Feed n Wax was applied to the base. The original dust cover was polished although there are still some deeper blemishes that wouldn't polish out as shown in the photos but it looks nice overall. There are the typical cracks in the dustcover on both sides next to the hinges. The decorative shiny finish on the feet is wearing in places. The platter mat was cleaned.
The phono plugs were replaced with high quality, gold plated REAN jacks. The speed control pots were cleaned and lubricated and the speed adjusted and is stable. The tonearm bearings were checked and the VTA checked. Electrical contact points were cleaned and solder joints inspected. VTF and anti-skate adjustment are all working properly. I'm offering the table setup and ready to play with a nice Stanton 600 cartridge and original Stanton "A" conical type stylus with low hours. This is an underrated and nice sounding setup with what I describe as a "vintage american" sound: full and smooth. The headshell shipped with the table may be different than the one pictured but will be of equivalent quality with a weight matched to the mass of the awesome Micro Seiki MA-505 tonearm.
I can knock $50 off the price of the table if you do not want the cartridge, stylus, or headshell. Original sub-weight is included but the disc stabilizer pictured is NOT included in the sale.
Turntable will be extremely well packed with the platter and counterweight removed. Cushioning inside and outside the dustcover and fully double boxed with adequate cushioning in between all layers.
