Ramp is covering pickup holes (last pick) Up for sale, a 1983 Ibanez Roadstar II vintage electric bass guitar with upgraded pickups and in perfect working order. Crafted at the Fujigen factory in Japan, the Roadster is the bolt-on sibling to the venerable Musician line, with the same top quality construction and components. This bass features the tried and true tonewood combination of an alder body and maple neck. Each pickup provides a full and balanced response with the ability to be individually split for single coil operation via the mini toggle switches.
The maple neck has medium C profile carve at the nut, with more shoulder and heft as you travel up the thick rosewood slab fretboard, measuring .825” deep at the 1st fret and .980” at the 12th. The fretboard features dot inlay and stock medium jumbo fretwire. The neck is straight, and the truss rod is responsive and ideally adjusted. The nut measures 1 9/16” in width, carved from bone for optimal note clarity and sustain. The matching headstock features a brass Roadster truss rod cover, Ibanez logo, and set of Grover machine heads that live up to their name.
On the body, the electronics work as they should with a center detent pickup Blend knob, Master Volume, Master Tone, and pair of Tri Sound mini toggle switches. top-loader bridge shows just a touch of patina on the brass plating.
