Selling one of my beloved Roland MC-4B Micro Composers with the rare Cassette interface MTR-100 in great condition and fully working. This is the B model with maxed RAM that you will also need to use the Cassette interface MTR-100.
This is an advanced 4 channel V/Oct CV / Gate Sequencer with an extra CV2 for i.e. VCF or VCA control and an MPX gate control for i.e. drum triggers, external modular gear aso. All buttons work fine and have just been maintained.
It can be programmed by the keypad or an external CV / Gate keyboard.
There's also a modern way of programming it with the MC4 Hack program for Mac & PC.
It was the go to machine of Vince Clarke, YMO, Landscape, AFX and many others and it's more tight than any new piece of gear.
It's a real fun machine for unusual compositions or anything you can or cannot imagine. Much superior to the MC-8 as you can create tracks by using an external keyboard to record live or step by step.
You can control it by Roland DIN-Sync, Tape Sync or external Triggers or use it as a master. It has a few signs of wear after all these decades, but overall it's in excellent condition. Looks much better in real than on the iphone pics ;-)
The MC4B is 220 Volts with German power plug and the MTR-100 has 117V and American plug.
All up to 4 channels can be saved to the MTR-100 verified and loaded at once or you can do it for only 1 channel. Keep in mind that this is ancient computer technology, but it's really fast and much easier than the normal audio cassette interface.
I'll include one computer tape TEAC CT600H that you can use straight away as the MTR is not suitable for normal audio cassettes !
Inside the MTR-100 is the already rare TEAC MT-2 tape.
Connecting cable for the MTR-100 is included as well.
All sales are final and keep in mind that shipping any 40 years + instrument is a risk and there's no returns, guaranty and it's sold as is in the present state fully functional and as seen on the pictures.
I will pack extra safe with thick bubble wrap and packed in two sturdy cardboard boxes fully insured
up to € 3000.-. Any questions don't hesitate to ask :-)
