Up for sale is the large and rare YAMAHA DX-1! We’re happy to report this DX-1 works fantastically. We have changed the memory battery and loaded the patches it came to us with, which are modified factory programs and sound AWESOME! The unit requires no further preventative or needed maintenance.
There are some small blemishes here and there but overall we would rate this unit a solid “A” in condition.
Like politics, the vintage synth world is riddled with misinformation. The DX-1 is not simply 2 DX-7’s in one box with a fancy keyboard. It’s DAC’s and digital circuitry run at a much higher rate and exceed that of the DX-7 in fidelity. Besides that, the keyboard is weighted with velocity and polyphonic after touch, one of the most sought after features and hard to find in most keyboards. Only 140 DX-1’s are said to have been made, which means we have serviced 10% of them. These units not only sound fantastic and will provide much sonic bliss, but will also serve as a sound investment sure to appreciate in the short and long terms.
