Oberheim DMX DSX 83 - Original

This pair DMX and DSX are in very good operating and cosmetic condition. These where purchased new together and come with an Anvil flight case. These where not used alot but have some cosmetic deffects. Some bottom wear on the DMX but not very much on the DSX. The red display gel (material over the LED display) is cracked on the edges where the manufacture specification put pressure from the LED block on the gel because its profile was a little too high. This does not extend into the display itself but just on the edge and can be replaced using film light gel etc if you want it perfect. The DSX will need a memory battery as these are notorious for leaking so it was removed along time ago when stored. The DMX has a new battery pack greater than the required spec that should outlast the unit. This DMX does not have midi but is configured with the memory upgrade and the latest software (refer to photo's). The units are loved but not needed and I want them to go to someone that will use them. The flight case, like many, has had it's decomposed foam removed and ready for a new foam kit from Anvil or A&S case in N. HLLYWD. The units where never exposed to this and where stored in a display setting. I will include pictures of the foam as a guide for measurement and config. The buttons and faders work like new and noise floor is within new specification. C/V and gate outs on DSX tested with an Oberheim Xpander and function perfectly. These should be a blast for a collector or modular synth owner or anyone loving the feel of these units and will complete the OB-xa or OB-8 system perfectly.
