√ NEW 123 Battery holder

√ Lead wires to connect externallly from PCB point

Installation:

1. Turn off and unplug the unit

2. Open unit and locate the battery

3. Make note of the position of positive and negative pins of the battery

4. Cut the original battery from circuit board, desolder the remaining battery pin leads from the circuit board

5. Solder in the battery holder wire leads with notes above with positions.

6. Mount the battery holder, insert the new battery into the battery holder

7. Be sure not to short out the battery pins located on the underside of the battery holder on any metal on your synth

Info and compatibility

These devices normally use BR-2/3A, which is sadly not a very common and actually a expensive battery type. Most users would probably just buy a BR-2/3A with solder tabs and then realizing after 5 years, that they have to do the de-soldering and soldering again, which could have been avoided in the first place, by choosing a battery holder instead.
