Pat’s NS-1 takes inspiration from Spector’s Brooklyn-era instruments to create a no-frills tone monster. This bass features a unique “sandwich” of figured cherry, black walnut, and mahogany for the body wings, a three-piece maple neck, birdseye maple fingerboard and a 34” scale length. For electronics, this bass features a single DiMarzio Model P paired with a passive volume and tone control. Leaning into the vintage aesthetic of this instrument, Pat’s NS-1 features a hand-rubbed oil finish, custom black walnut block inlays, and gold hardware.

“The bass I designed is a throwback to the Spectors of the late 70's. The cherry top and oil finish accentuate that, along with the simplicity of the P-bass style passive pickup. That combination of wood, oil, and the pickups give it that old school growl that I love.
