Up for your consideration is a 1996 Gibson Les Paul custom. This guitar was a touring instrument in 2008/2009 with the band 9 inch nails and was played by Robin Finck.

Robin smashed the guitar at the Los Angeles forum in a fit of anger that I believe was induced by technical difficulties with the audio. There is a short clip of this moment below the description.

The guitar was lovingly and painstakingly rebuilt by a group of master luthier‘s and technicians and functions 100% as it should.
The control layout that Robin was using when he owned this guitar has been changed back to a stock Gibson layout but I can reverse it back to his configuration, if you would like.
All of the parts that are currently on the guitar were either on it or in the case when I received it. The only exception to this is the jack plate and the pick ups, which are Suhr Doug Aldrich bridge and neck pickups. Toggle switch and output jack are made by switchcraft. Pots are CTS 500k audio taper. Clean hand wiring and noise free performance.

This guitar comes with its original Gibson hardshell case that it left the factory with. The shroud has been cut out but all latches including the combination lock still work perfectly, the lid ribbon is still attached and the handle is in great shape. Despite some touring wear and labeling it protects the guitar 100% as it should.

This Les Paul is from a really good time at Gibson Guitars… Sounds really great and plays fantastically. Had a refret at some point in its life with what I believe to be 6100 wire but I am not exactly sure. Recent complete set up.

I feel that this guitar is a monster player and also a great piece of memorabilia for a collector. Please feel free to ask any and all questions… Any information I can give will be happy to do so.

Will consider any serious reasonable offers. Please ask any and all questions about this guitar before purchasing or making an offer as I will not be offering returns on this one. Will ship worldwide on this one but buyer will pay exact shipping if outside of the continental US

Thanks for looking and best of luck!
